12:55 a.m. today — John B. Hopkins, 47, and his girlfriend, Patricia Hetrick, 39, were arrested after allegedly attacking one another during a domestic dispute at their West New Castle Street apartment. Hetrick had a small cut to the face and scratches to the leg, and Hopkins had a bite mark on his leg, following the fracas.The couple was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges of simple assault.

5:44 p.m. Tuesday — Jessica Meneely, 22, of Lyndora is accused of violating the township's burning ordinance for having an illegal fire in her back yard.11:44 a.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Diane Diorio, 34, and Anna Dickson, 53, both of Butler collided at New Castle and North Duffy roads. Police said Diorio was cited for a red light violation.11:27 a.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Pearl Schlatz, 68, of Butler and Susanne Ufner, 81, of Lyndora collided at Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road.

11 p.m. Tuesday — A case of beer was stolen from a refrigerator inside a garage in the 600 block of Riverside Avenue. Two unknown boys were seen coming out of the garage about the time the beer turned up missing.Tuesday — Isaac Abraham Ryhal, 18, of Volant is accused of hitting a 14-year-old in the face during an altercation at South Broad and East Pine streets. Ryhal is charged with simple assault and harassment.

Monday — Copper plumbing was stolen in a burglary between June 20 and Monday at a house in the 700 block of Old West Route 422 in Franklin Township.9:54 p.m. Friday — Two Butler teenagers face charges after they were caught under the influence of alcohol at the Giant Eagle in the Clearview Mall, Center Township. Police cited both suspects, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, for underage drinking.The boy, who allegedly swiped three bags of potato chips, is also charged with retail theft. Police did not identify either suspect.

5:35 a.m. Wednesday — Renee Claypoole, no age given, of Templeton, Armstrong County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her car on Pine Hill Road in West Kittanning.3:51 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by James C. Hiles, 50, of East Brady struck a utility pole along Route 268 in Sugarcreek Township. Hiles said the crash happened when he suffered a cramp in his right leg and lost control of the truck. Police said he was cited for careless driving.6:50 a.m. Monday — Pickups driven by Justin Schrecengost, 23, of McGrann, Armstrong County, and Gary J. Casper, 53, of West Sunbury collided on the Fifth Avenue Extension near Route 66 in Manor Township. Police said Schrecengost faces a ticket for improperly entering a road.

June 20 — An unknown thief stole about 2,500 feet of electrical wire at the construction site for the Grove City Federal Credit Union on South Center Street Extension in Pine Township. The theft happened between June 18 and 20. L&L Electric of Arnold, Westmoreland County, owns the wire.
