5:33 a.m. Thursday — A woman told police that an unknown white man in his 50s exposed himself and tried to grab her breasts as he walked past her in the area of West Brady Street and Wagner Avenue.The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall with a medium build and facial hair. He was wearing glasses, a dark shirt, black, gold and silver pants and white sneakers.The man last was seen walking south on North Chestnut Street. Police searched the area but could not find him.5:26 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Mark Grossman, 49, of Boyers and a car driven by Robert Skal, 66, of Butler collided on South Main Street at the Route 8 crossing.
8:45 a.m. Thursday — A bicycle was found on Evergreen Street in Lyndora. The owner can claim the bike by calling police at 724-285-9600.12:22 p.m. Wednesday — No one was apparently hurt in a four-vehicle collision on Route 68 near Barracks Road.The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Darla Duster, 44, of Butler struck a vehicle, driven by James Leary, 91, of Butler, which was stopped in traffic. Leary's vehicle was pushed into the back of a vehicle driven by Marshall McKallip, 35, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.In turn, police said, McKallip's vehicle was forced into the rear of a vehicle driven by Samuel Thiessen, 25, of Butler.Police said the crash investigation continues.11:01 a.m. Wednesday — Lisa Bowen, 42, of Butler was hurt when a car struck her as she walked on the traffic way toward the parking lot at Sam's Club in the Moraine Pointe Plaza.Bowen was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. Mary Lou Georgic, 82, of Butler was driving the car. Police said the investigation continues.
2:31 a.m. Thursday — Jason M. McMaster, 37, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a four-vehicle crash on Benbrook Road, just south of Lions Road in Center Township.The wreck happened when McMaster's northbound vehicle struck a second vehicle that was disabled from a previous crash. That second vehicle was then pushed into two other vehicles that had stopped for the earlier crash.2:24 a.m. Thursday — Two Butler teenagers were hurt when their car struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on South Benbrook Road in Center Township. Michael R. John, 18, the driver, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.John's passenger, a 17-year-old boy who police did not identify, suffered minor injuries but did not need hospital treatment. He was wearing a seat belt.1:49 a.m. Wednesday — Two people were hurt when the motorcycle they were riding struck a deer on Route 528 in Prospect. Timothy M. Grosick, 39, of Evans City, the driver, and his passenger, Sherry Andrekovich, 41, of Cranberry Township, were thrown off the bike, which hit the deer broadside, killing the animal.Both riders, who were wearing helmets, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Police said John was cited for a lane violation.Wednesday — A 2009 Hummer H3 sport utility vehicle worth $21,000, stolen between 3 and 5:15 a.m. from the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Main Street in Prospect, was later recovered in New Castle.Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — An undisclosed amount of money and a number of gift cards were reported stolen in a burglary Tuesday or Wednesday from a Maple Furnace Road home in Allegheny Township.
3:40 a.m. Thursday — A tractor-trailer driven by Rodney J. Dole, 55, of Fort Lucie, Fla., struck a guardrail on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. Police said Dole faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.
