Jeremy Heindl

Jeremy Heindl of Mars graduated May 22 with a juris doctor degree from Widener University School of Law.While at the University, he was on the dean's list. Other honors include Most Improved Advocate, Highest GPA for Criminal Law Students and Trial Advocacy Vice President.Heindl enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1996 after graduating from Mars High School. He was employed im human resources at the Spotlight 29 Casino in California while pursuing a bachelor's from the University of Phoenix. Last summer, he worked as a certified legal intern at the Butler County Public Defenders office.He is the son of Jerry and Donna Heindl of Valencia.———

Angela Higgins of Mars graduated magna cum laude April 30 with a bachelor's in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh.A 2007 graduate of Mars High School, she is the daughter of Michael and Mindy Higgins.———

Catlan McCurdy of Butler graduated magna cum laude May 15 with a juris doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.While at the university, she received the Public Service Award.McCurdy will practice intellectual property law in Minneapolis.She graduated in 2004 from Butler High School and in 2008 cum laude with a bachelor's from George Washington University. She is the daughter of Zane and Mary McCurdy of Butler.———

Daniel Follett of Cranberry Township graduated with a bachelor's in history from Juniata College.Follett is a 2007 graduate of Seneca Valley Senior High School.While at Juniata, he won a Molten National Championship with the men's volleyball team.Follett is the son of William and Michelle Follett.———

Brenda (Marshall) Henwood of Valencia graduated with a master's in organizational leadership from Geneva College.She graduated in 1985 from Knoch High School and in 1990 from Robert Morris University.She is a senior account manager at MET Electrical Testing in Cranberry Township.She is the daughter of Joyce Jenkins of Valencia and the late Joy W. Marshall. She resides in Valencia with her husband Scott and one child, Star.———

Krista Scott of Butler graduated with a bachelor's in mathematics from Slippery Rock University.She graduated magna cum laude in three years from SRU and belonged to the Kappa Mu Epsilon National Math Honorary.While at SRU, Scott was a dean's list scholar in the fall 2008, spring and fall 2009, spring and fall 2010 and spring 2011.She currently holds a graduate assistantship in the SRU Financial Aid Office and will start the master's of education graduate program in June.A 2008 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Timothy and Pamela Scott of Butler.———

Sarah Yakima graduated May 14 with a master's in English from Virginia Tech.As a graduate teaching assistant, Yakima taught freshman composition, a literature class and assisted with curriculum development for a first year initiative course. She also presented papers at domestic and international conferences and is currently in the process of publishing an article on Stephen Crane.She is the daughter of Ed and Susan Yakima of Portersville.———
