The Baxters in 1951

Ronald and Cleo Baxter of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner March 12 at the Monroe Hotel in Butler.

Baxter married the former Cleo Kiser on Feb. 23, 1951, at the home of the bride’s sister in Butler.

They have three children, Ron Baxter, Dave Baxter and Lori Haughey, all of Butler.

They also have six grandchildren.

Baxter retired in 1989 from Armco after 41 years as a turn foreman in transportation.

Mrs. Baxter is a homemaker.

The Baxters belong to Rider Lutheran Church.
