CRANBERRY TWP — Two new shopping centers on Route 19, a new hotel in the Cranberry Woods office park off Route 228, a new home for an existing church, and a new yoga studio are the host of new developments that the township supervisors expect to vote on in May and June.

These projects were discussed at Thursday night’s meeting.

Virginia ManorThis three-building, 34,680-square-foot shopping center will be built along Route 19 across from the North Park Lounge.Ron Henshaw, Cranberry director of community development, said the development will have one main access from Route 19. It will contribute $9,000 to the township for road improvements in that area.No tenants for the plaza have been identified.The final conditional use and final plans applications will be voted on by supervisors in June.

Cranberry PromenadeThe Cranberry Promenade mixed-use plaza, which has been stalled for two years because of the state Department of Transportation approval process, is set to get the final go-ahead next Thursday.This is near the intersection of Route 19 and Ogle View Road on a site that includes an abandoned farmhouse.The new plaza, which will include an Aldi Foods store, consists of 35,470 square feet of retail space, 3,000 square feet for a bank with a drive-thru and 178,040 square feet of office space on 19 acres.

Courtyard by MarriottThe new Pittsburgh Courtyard by Marriott is a 73,000-square-foot, five-story, 125-room hotel that will be built next to the existing Marriott Pittsburgh North hotel in the office park off Route 228 in the Cranberry Woods office park.The supervisors will vote on the final plans for it next Thursday.The new hotel will have a number of meeting rooms and restaurant service.The three-acre property is being developed by Winegardner & Hammons, a hotel management and development company in Cincinnati.The developers will contribute $75,000 toward road improvements to Route 228.

Grace ChurchGrace Community Church plans to build a new 62,622-square-foot new building along Marshall Road. The new building will be at 201 Anderson Road, which is a private road that will be owned by the congregation.The church is currently off Freedom Road in the church that formerly was the Victory Family Church.The church is expected to be built in two phases with 30,000 square feet to be built in the first phase. The second phase would include additional parking, a second access road to Marshall Road, potential athletic fields and nearly doubling the size of the building.The supervisors will vote on final plans for the new church on June 2.

Yoga studioThe supervisors will vote next Thursday on conditional use approval for the Laughing Lizard Yoga Studio, which will be in an existing building at 9125 Marshall Road.The studio will occupy 1,140 square feet of the building, which will house several tenants.
