12:40 a.m. Saturday — Kevin M. Kelly, 47, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck and attempted to strangle Raina L. Green of Butler during an argument on the street along Virginia Avenue.
4:05 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Julie Truesdale, 49, of Hillards and a vehicle driven by Sara Newcomer, 18, of Slippery Rock collided at Butler Commons plaza. No injuries were reported.
10:25 p.m. Friday — Brian S. Kennedy, 39, of Butler was arrested under suspicion of DUI and driving under a DUI-related suspended license following a traffic stop on Cunningham Street in Butler.3:30 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Christine A. Sanderson, 38, of West Sunbury struck a tree along Halson Road in Clay Township. Sanderson suffered major injuries, and passenger Andrea L. Luzier, 26, of West Sunbury suffered moderate injuries.11 p.m. Wednesday — Someone threw a concrete block through the windshield of a parked pickup truck on Snyder Lane in Clearfield Township. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.2 p.m. Monday — Someone used a rock to smash out the window of a vehicle belonging to Anita Prelec of Harmony while the vehicle was parked at the Exit 96 Park and Ride in Muddy Creek Township.9:23 p.m. April 16 — Roger B. Yohe, 55, of Butler was charged with DUI after the SUV he was driving allegedly struck a pedestrian at the intersection of South Cliff Street and Center Avenue in Butler. The pedestrian, Heriberto G. Perez, 52, of Butler suffered unknown injuries and was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital.
10:15 a.m. April 12 — Someone broke into the School House Shop at Leesburg Antique Store, stealing gold watch parts and $365 cash belonging to Milan Matijevich of Pulaski, Pa., as well as an antique coin collection valued at $4,000 and belonging to Earl Trimble of Ellwood City. Anyone with information can call police at 724-662-6162.
5:09 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Mark A. Waltenbaugh, 58, of Tarentum and a car driven by Paul L. Miller, 43, of Freeport collided on Route 28 near Ravine Street in Sharpsburg. Both drivers were uninjured, and Waltenbaugh was cited for following too closely.11:40 a.m. Thursday — Chayson Heilman, 29, of Kittanning was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township. Police also said they discovered two full bags and 19 empty stamp bags of alleged heroin, three suboxin pills and numerous drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Charges are pending against Heilman, who is wanted on warrants out of Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland counties, and passenger Kristen Clark, 25, of Kittanning.
