11:03 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Howard Shema, 69, of Eau Claire and Daniel Mikula, 54, of West Sunbury collided at South Cliff and East Cunningham streets.Tuesday — Police charged Charles L. Hamilton with drunken driving stemming from a 2:27 a.m. April 1 traffic stop at South Chestnut and West Birch streets. In addition to driving under the influence, Hamilton is charged with disregarding traffic lanes.
4:33 p.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by David Birckbichler, 32, of Butler and a 16-year-old girl, who police did not identify, collided at East Jefferson Street and Delwood Road. Birckbichler was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and driving with a suspended license.
March 26 — An unknown vandal between 1 and 5:30 a.m. repeatedly fired a paintball gun at the fire station at 146 N. Broad St. Police said that 15 to 20 paintball pellets hit the station.A vehicle at 201 N. Broad St. was also hit with a paintball gun.Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
7:08 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Beth M. Bodine, 50, of Butler crashed on Route 173 near Coal Hill Lane in Slippery Rock Township. Bodine was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.2:12 a.m. April 14 — Mark Zedreck, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Hansen Avenue in Butler.5:49 p.m. April 10 — A Boyers couple was seriously hurt when the motorcycle they were riding crashed at Route 268 and Surface Mine Road in Parker Township. Curt A. Watson, 49, the driver, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.Pamela A. Watson, 55, a passenger on the cycle, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center. Police described the couple’s injuries as “major.” Neither rider was wearing a helmet.9 p.m. April 6 — A brown Android cell phone worth $200 was stolen from a West Virginia man at The Longhorn Bar on New Castle Road in Franklin Township.
