5:14 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Joseph Hoover, 42, of Butler flipped onto its side after hitting a patch of ice on McCalmont Road about one-half mile west of Route 8.Saturday — A white statue of the Blessed Mother was stolen from outside a Penn Avenue home in Lyndora. The theft happened Friday or Saturday.Monday — District Judge Kevin O'Donnell issued an arrest warrant for Benjamin D. Davidson, 32, of Franklin Township on a felony count of retail theft.Davidson, according to court documents, stole an audio amplifier worth $150 from the Speed of Sound store on New Castle Road.He is charged with felony retail theft, normally a misdemeanor, because he has two prior convictions for shoplifting, documents said.
7:20 p.m. Tuesday — Larry E. Arblaster, 36, of Slippery Rock was arrested after he allegedly violated a protective order at a 51-year-old woman's home on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township. Arblaster, who is charged with indirect criminal contempt, was placed in Butler County Prison.12:33 p.m. Monday — An unidentified vehicle struck a car on Clearview Circle at Clearview Mall in Center Township, and did not stop. Heather McDonald, 37, of Chicora was driving the car.12:15 a.m. March 20 — Kristopher D. Bowman, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 173 at the entrance to Armco Park in Slippery Rock Township.
Tuesday — An Apple iPod Touch was found at the Gilmore playground. The owner may claim the property at the police station on East Pine Street.
