11:25 a.m. Tuesday — Tracie Rettig, 47, of Prospect was hurt when a vehicle she was driving collided with a minibus at New Castle and North Duffy roads. Rettig was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Police said Robert King, 63, of Ellwood City, who was driving the minibus owned by Allied Coordinated Transportation Services of New Castle, was cited for a red light violation.
Monday — Police charged Kenneth W. Riddle, 38, of Lyndora with the March 6 theft of an in-dash radio from a 2001 Mercedes-Benz at B&B Auto Sales on Route 8 in Center Township.Riddle, according to court documents, also is accused of stealing a compact disc changer that was in the car's trunk. He is charged with a felony count of criminal mischief and a misdemeanor count of theft from a vehicle.
Thursday — Police reported that Justin H. Robinson, 26, of Grove City faces dozens of felony charges for allegedly forging a Stoneboro woman's signature on 50 checks and cashing those checks, without her knowledge, at banks in Grove City, Clintonville and Jackson Center.In all, according to a police report, Robinson made off with $5,045 from the woman's bank account. Police said Robinson faces 50 counts of forgery and a lone count of theft by deception.
