8:40 a.m. Tuesday — Michael A. Hauser, 47, of Latrobe, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his truck was inspected at a weigh station on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.5:26 a.m. Saturday — Nicholas A. Klodowski, 23, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his sport utility vehicle crashed through the fence of the Old Stone House at Routes 8 and 173 in Brady Township.Friday — Someone unlawfully tapped into a 23-year-old Slippery Rock Township woman's e-mail and posted unauthorized pictures of her on a Facebook account. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.March 21 — An unspecified number of marine batteries were taken between March 18 and 21 from Bob Warren Boat Sales on Route 38 near Route 68 in Summit Township.1:45 a.m. March 19 — Brandon Wissinger, 21, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a one-car crash on Riemer Road in Winfield Township.
6:35 a.m. Sunday — Richard D. Burdick, 53, of Kittanning arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 288 about one mile south of Route 422 in North Buffalo Township.1:43 a.m. Sunday — Albie E. Goodman Jr., 46, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Mile Long Road in North Buffalo Township.
7:58 a.m. Tuesday — Four people, including two children, were hurt in a near head-on collision in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.The crash happened when sport utility vehicles driven by Michael P. Martin, 78, of New Castle and Jody A. Burgess, 35, of Ellwood City collided at Copper Road and Old Route 422. Following the collision, Burgess’ SUV rolled onto its roof and the rear of Martin’s vehicle landed on the undercarriage of the other vehicle.Burgess and her passengers, a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, suffered minor to moderate injuries. They were taken to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, and Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.Helen Martin, 75, of New Castle, a passenger in the other vehicle, suffered a minor injury. All the injured were wearing seat belts.Police said Michael Martin was cited for a stop sign violation.
