The Butler baseball team got off to a hot start on a chilly Saturday afternoon, blanking Ellwood City 6-0.

The game was shifted from Butler to Ellwood City because of field conditions.

Mick Fennell tossed five one-hit innings for the Golden Tornado, striking out six.

Bobby Swartwout hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning for the only run Butler would need.

Colin Williamson, Alex Ziegler and Cody Herald also doubled for Butler, which will host Knoch Tuesday.
