5:03 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Timothy Huff, 55, of Connoquenessing Township and a pickup truck driven by Howard Bauer, 47, of Summit Township collided at Zeigler and Heim avenues. The collision forced the pickup into a utility pole. Huff was cited for careless driving.

8:18 a.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Nicole Peters, 22, of Erie struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Peters was cited for driving at unsafe speed.2:10 p.m. Saturday — Jacob D. Beggs, 18, of Slippery Rock was hurt when the car he was driving hit a garage along West Liberty Road about three-tenths of a mile west of Prospect Road in Brady Township. Beggs, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.3:15 a.m. Saturday — Matthew D. Hurt, 18, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Main and Cooper streets in Slippery Rock.

7:39 a.m. Sunday — Krystal R. Davis, 29, of Sandy Lake was hurt when the car she was driving struck a ditch and tree along Route 173 near Smith Road in French Creek Township. Davis, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. She faces a ticket for a lane violation.Sunday — A burglar stole a revolver and laptop computer from an unlocked home on Sandy Lake-Grove City Road in Wolf Creek Township. The property stolen in the break-in, between 1 and 4:40 p.m., is valued at $900.

1:50 a.m. Friday — A would-be thief cut live electrical wires in a failed attempt to steal copper wiring from Glacial Sand and Gravel on Glacial Sands Road in East Franklin Township. A night watchman saw the sparking wires and then spotted the suspect run away. Anyone with information is asked to call 724-543-2011.
