1:35 p.m. Monday — A tractor-trailer twice backed into a car stopped at a stop sign at Mercer and West New Castle streets. The unknown truck driver turned right and was last seen traveling west on New Castle Street.Loran Druschell, 20, of Butler was driving the car. She described the tractor-trailer as having a red cab and colored box trailer with the word “Enterprise” on it. At least one other motorist saw the hit-and-run crash.

1:15 a.m. Sunday — Jason McWilliams, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Maryland Avenue and Mercer Street in Butler.1:57 a.m. Friday — Michael Gold, 38, of Hilliards was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Fairview Road near the North Washington fire hall in Washington Township.8:55 p.m. Jan. 28 — Garrett S. Barnes, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of cocaine and morphine at North Washington and West Brady streets in Butler.

2:45 p.m. Feb. 8 — A minivan driven by Heather S. Carothers, 44, of Grove City and a school bus driven by James D. Dougherty, 26, of Sandy Lake collided at Route 173 and George Junior Road in Pine Township. There were no passengers on the bus.
