Butler Police

Monday — Police filed drunken driving charges against Kevin J. Funkhouser, 29, of Butler stemming from a Jan. 17 traffic stop on West Penn Street. In addition to driving under the influence, Funkhouser is charged with not using his turn signals.

11:42 p.m. Saturday — Victor D. Andrews, 55, of Baden, Beaver County, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 422 near East Jefferson Street. Police also cited Andrews for possessing drug paraphernalia and illegally passing another vehicle.12:18 a.m. Saturday — Chelsea Cornetti, 21, of Summit Township was arrested following a disturbance at the Days Inn on Route 8 South. Police said Cornetti became “belligerent and combative” with hotel security when she was asked to leave.Her alleged unruly behavior continued even after police got there, according to a police report.She was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and public drunkenness, and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

1:40 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Wesley W. Sames, 20, of Monongahela, Washington County, struck a utility pole along Madison Avenue, and did not stop after the crash. A passenger, who police did not identify, suffered unspecified injuries. Police said Sames was cited for careless driving, hit-and-run and failure to immediately notify police of an accident.Sunday — Vehicles driven by Oscar Sanchez, 52, of Etters, York County, and Charles Hartman, 76, of, Slippery Rock collided at South Broad Street and College Avenue. Sanchez was cited for a stop sign violation.7:15 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Vicki McNeish, 45, of Grove City rear-ended a vehicle at West Main and Breckenridge streets. Police said McNeish, who was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unspecified injuries, was cited for careless driving. Jennifer Mertz, 31, of Mercer was driving the other vehicle.

2:10 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Thomas B. Wolbert, 23, of Rochester, Beaver County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.State Police, Kittanning7:35 p.m. Saturday — Anthony Stockdill, 25, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 just west of the Graff Bridge in North Buffalo Township. He also faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Monday — Five youths face felony charges stemming from the theft of a dirt bike during a November break-in at a Brent Road home in Springfield Township.Police charged the suspects — three 17-year-old Mercer boys, a 16-year-old Grove City girl and a 17-year-old Mercer girl — in Mercer County juvenile court.The teens, who police did not identify, face charges that include burglary, conspiracy theft, receiving stolen property, trespass and false reports to law enforcement authorities.
