11:05 p.m. Wednesday — Joshua A. Hakeem, 25, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Amanda Boulanger of Butler, during a domestic dispute at his West North Street home. Hakeem is charged with simple assault. Police said he was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment this morning.Wednesday — Police accused Lindsay French, 32, of Prospect of drugged driving stemming from a Jan. 7 crash at Hansen Avenue and West New Castle Street.French was eastbound on West New Castle Street when her car hit the lane barrier at the intersection, sending the vehicle airborne and across the travel lanes on Hansen Avenue and into a car driven by Christopher Burger, 19, of Butler.French was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, a police report said, after she complained of vision problems. A blood sample was taken at the hospital, and on Wednesday toxicology results showed French had three different controlled substances in her system on the day of the crash, the police report said.Police said French faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving and a lane violation.

1:11 a.m. Monday — Marcus N. Palmer, 25, of Abilene, Texas, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in the parking lot at the Greater Butler Mart on Route 8 South. Police said Palmer also was cited for reckless driving, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.7:10 a.m. Sunday — Police cited David Cummings, 23, of Lyndora for leaving his disabled car in the middle of Armco Drive near the Picklegate Crossing after it slid on the snow-covered road and hit the curb. Cummings faces tickets for illegally abandoning a vehicle, failing to notify police immediately after an accident and driving too fast for conditions.

3:30 p.m. Tuesday — Maria A. McCabe, 23, of Butler was hurt when the pickup truck she was driving slid on the snow and into a snow plow on Hall road near East State Street in Clay Township. McCabe, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.11:11 p.m. Jan. 27 — A car driven by Brad G. Gavlik, 28, of Pittsburgh struck a small embankment and rolled onto a fence along Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Gavlik was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Jan. 24—Nothing was taken from a garage in a burglary at a Boyers Road home in Forestville, Mercer Township. The break-in happened between Jan. 22 and 24.

10:30 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Ricky John, 53, of Kittanning and a tractor truck driven by Mark E. Bono, 39, of Worthington collided at Route 128 and Bunker Hill Road in North Buffalo Township. John, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning with unknown injuries. Police said he was cited for a stop sign violation.

2:35 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Helen Brocious, 78, of Mercer and Brian J. McCann, 47, of Greenville collided on Route 58 near Irishtown Road in Pine Township. Police said Brocious was cited for improperly entering or crossing a road.

Jan. 24 — Unspecified items were stolen from vehicles on Route 422 in the rear of Sharp Truck in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The vehicles were broken into between 7:15 and 9:10 p.m.
