2:44 p.m. Wednesday — George T. Honeycutt, 33, was arrested on a warrant outside his West Diamond Street apartment. Police said they also found him with suspected Vicodin tablets and other contraband. He was placed in Butler County Prison on the warrant. Additionally, he is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

9:45 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Brandon M. Simmons, 19, of Slippery Rock crashed into an embankment after he lost control of the vehicle on snow- and ice-covered Route 258 in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Simmons was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:45 p.m. Saturday — An unidentified vehicle sideswiped a car on Center Drive near Slippery Rock Road in Concord Township. The unknown hit-and-run driver did not stop after the collision. Kimberly Sico, 18, of East Brady was driving the car.11 p.m. Friday — A car driven by William I. Miller, 33, of Butler traveled down a slight embankment and rolled onto its roof on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. Police said Miller was cited for a lane violation.1:55 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt when a sport utility vehicle driven by Kyle E. Toth, 19, and a car driven by Richard A. Ray Jr., 36, both of Butler collided at Route 356 and Hooks Lane in Jefferson Township. Ray, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a minor injury. Police said Toth was cited for improperly crossing or entering a road.Friday — An unknown burglar stole two chain saws, an air compressor and lawn tractor dump cart from a garage at a home on East Eldorado Road in Parker Township. The break-in happened between Jan. 9 and Friday.Friday — An elderly Center Township woman was scammed out of thousands of dollars after she got a call from a con artist who claimed her grandson had been involved in an accident. The caller, police said, told the 83-year-old victim that she had to send money via Western Union, or her grandson would be put in jail.The woman wired the unknown suspect $6,230. Police said she realized she had been scammed after speaking with her grandson.Tuesday — Several solid steel cylinders were stolen from Butler Forge and Metal Works on Railroad Street in East Butler. The theft happened between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

3 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Kaitlynn M. Sinclair, 18, of Slippery Rock slid out of control on snow-covered North Liberty Road, struck a ditch and rolled over in Liberty Township. Amber Haux, 18, of Grove City, a passenger in the car who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police said Sinclair was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

5:53 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Charles C. Rogers, 42, of Columbiana, Ohio, struck the rear of a car on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, touching off a chain-reaction crash with two other vehicles.Following the initial collision, the car driven by Aaron Workman, 27, of New Castle, was pushed into another pickup driven by James Mischick, 60, of Hermitage, Mercer County. Mischick’s pickup, in turn, was pushed into a sport utility vehicle driven by Heather Zingaro, 27, of New Castle.Rogers, police said, was cited for careless driving.
