10 p.m. Sunday — Steven D. Potter, 45, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 29-year-old Brandi Antonelli, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Virginia Avenue home. Potter is charged with simple assault.Sunday — A red, Husky brand 60-gallon air compressor was reported stolen from the porch of a home in the 100 block of West Boyd Avenue. The compressor is valued at $250.Sunday — The owner of a white, 2-year-old Husky with blue eyes and a blue collar reported the dog was stolen several days ago from his home in the 200 block of West Pearl Street. The dog is valued at $400.

2:37 a.m. Saturday — Devin Lee Parker, 21, was arrested after allegedly hitting a trooper during an altercation at a home in the 300 block of Freeport Road in Summit Township.Police were called to the home for a disturbance and found another person inside trying to subdue Parker, who apparently had been drinking. When Trooper Brandon Yeager tried to handcuff Parker, the suspect allegedly swung his arms, hitting and injuring Yeager's left shoulder.Trooper Stephen Rodgers deployed his Taser and Parker was arrested on charges including aggravated assault and resisting arrest.12:10 a.m. Saturday — Gregory Paul Byerly, no age given, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and West Old Route 422 in Franklin Township.Saturday — An unknown would-be burglar tried to break into the Kwik Fill service station on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock. The suspect attempted to get into the store by removing a piece of plywood and damaging the exhaust fan on the side of the building.No one got inside and nothing was taken. The attempted burglary happened between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday.Dec. 21 — A thief stole a log splitter from the back of a home on Cemetery Road in Marion Township. The theft happened between Dec. 18 and 21.

Friday — Eleven radiators and three catalytic converters were stolen in an overnight burglary at Sligo Auto Salvage on Route 68 in Toby Township. The break-in happened between 6 p.m. Thursday and 7:50 a.m. Friday.

3:56 a.m. Saturday — Robert H. Jones, 62, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 about three miles north of Exit 18 in North Buffalo Township.9:28 p.m. Friday — Anthony C. Hodak, 31, of Worthington was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 422 and Glade Run Road in East Franklin Township.
