10:42 a.m. Friday — Chad M. Spahn, 22, of Boyers was charged with possession of controlled substance/counterfeit substance and retail theft after allegedly trying to steal two packages of chocolate covered pretzels from the Friedman's Freshmarket store on West Brady Street.After being arrested for theft, Butler County Prison staff discovered multiple Suboxone tablets wrapped in a store receipt in Spahn's possession. Suboxone is used to treat addiction to painkillers. Spahn subsequently was released after posting $5,000 bond.
1:25 p.m. Saturday —Curran Easley, 27, of Meadville in Crawford County was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.1:35 a.m. Saturday — Andrew Kijowski, 22, of East Brady was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 8 and Mercer Road in Center Township.11:58 p.m. Friday — An unknown vehicle struck an SUV owned by Heather Horton while it was parked at 116 Water St. in Chicora.Friday — An unknown vehicle struck the air conditioning unit at S&S Market on North Road in Franklin Township between noon Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. Friday.5:30 a.m. Friday — A pickup driven by Eric Claycomb, 39, of Grove City hit a deer on Route 8 in Brady Township.12:21 a.m. Friday — A pickup driven by Matthew Wilson, 25, of West Sunbury struck two parked vehicles on Pillow Street. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.6:32 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup driven by Mark Byers, 30, of Chicora hit a tree along Seven Hills Road in Oakland Township. Byers was not injured. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.Wednesday — Christopher Palmer Walters, 43, of Slippery Rock reported the theft of prescription medication from his residence at 120 Overlook Drive in Brady Township between 11:45 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Nov. 30 — Carrie Jean Cubbage, age unavailable, was charged with forgery and theft after allegedly using another person's check with a forged signature to pay for food from D'Anthony's Pizzaria on Cleveland Street.
12:56 a.m. Saturday — Kailee Marie Traut, 19, of Girard in Erie County was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia after her car drove into a ditch along Route 965 in Worth Township.State Police, New CastleDec. 4 — Wesley Cross of Butler reported the theft of the license plate off his vehicle while it was parked in Neshannock Township between 2 and 4:15 p.m. The thief replaced Cross’ plate with one registered to a vehicle stolen from the Pittsburgh area.
