Kaufman 50th anniversary

The Kaufmans in 1960

Ronald “Pete” and Carol “Mittie” Kaufman of Connoquenessing celebrated 50 years of marriage with a trip to the New England states.

The Kaufmans were married Sept. 17, 1960, at White Oak Springs United Presbyterian Church.

They are members of Paws and Taws Square Dance Club in New Castle.

Kaufman is retired from the electrical repair department at AK Steel. He has been active with the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Department for 55 years.

Mrs. Kaufman is the tax collector in Connoquenessing. She has been active for 32 years as an EMT with the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Department.

The Kaufmans enjoy square dancing, volunteering and spending time with their grandchildren and attending their activities.They have three children, Douglas Kaufman, Michael Kaufman and Michelle Kovach.They also have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.The Kaufmans are members of First United Methodist Church in Butler.
