Geimer 101st birthday
Anna Leopoldina Geimer of Harmony celebrated her 101st birthday with a family dinner at the Kaufman House in Zelienople.
The former Anna Peiritsch was born Dec. 13, 1909, in Pittsburgh.
She married Nicholas Geimer on June 17, 1930, at St. Boniface Church in Pittsburgh. He is deceased.
She has five children, Dorothy Hancock of Trinity, Fla., Anna Lunz of Tionesta, Rita Razum of Pittsburgh, Claire Dorsch of Harmony and Joan Pavicic of Pittsburgh. Another child, Ruth Frances Geimer, is deceased.
She also has 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In her youth, she worked at H.J. Heinz in Pittsburgh.
At 87, Mrs. Geimer traveled to Europe to visit her parents’ birthplace in Austria.
She is a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople and a former member of St. Anne’s Guild at St. Gregory.
