William L. 'Bill' Lutz
William L. "Bill" Lutz, 67, of Harrisville, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away Wednesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1943, in Butler, he was the son of the late Clyde and Ruth (Boyer) Lutz.
Bill drove truck for Zallo Trucking. During his 50 years of driving, he received awards for millions of safety-free trucking miles.
Most of all, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Daisy "Tubby."
He is survived by two sons, William L. Lutz Jr. of Beaver Falls and Chad Patrick Lutz of Negley, Ohio; a daughter, Lori Lutz of Barkeyville; four brothers, Paul (Donna) Lutz of Harmony, Art (Beverly) Lutz of West Sunbury, Gene (Audrey) Lutz of Butler and Carl Lutz of Barkeyville; and a sister, Ruth (Don) Hovis of Renfrew. Also surviving are three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 13 nephews and eight nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen (Hollinger) Lutz; two sisters, Evelyn (Lutz) Foertsch and Barbara (Lutz) Burr; and a brother, Dean Lutz.
