Valley Dairy ice cream won ribbons for excellence at the National Ice Cream Retailers Association’s annual convention in Nashville Nov. 10 to 13.

Valley Dairy has 12 family restaurants, including one at the Butler Mall.

Every year, the company must submit samples of vanilla ice cream and either strawberry or chocolate ice cream to QLaboratories in Cincinnati. This year, Valley Dairy had to submit vanilla and chocolate. Points are given for flavor, color, meltdown, bacteria count, body and texture.
