Leroy Herbert Thomas, 72, of Avon Park, Fla., passed away Monday in the state of Indiana.

He was born in Lawrence County, Pa., to Herbert D. and Annie (Kugel) Thomas.

Mr. Thomas worked in the central shops at Walt Disney World.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1996, when he moved from Kissimmee, Fla.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rosella Thomas of Avon Park; sons, Vincent Thomas (Tina) of Bogart, Ga., and Dr. Brian Thomas (Kathy) of Columbia City, Ind.; a daughter, Dr. Tina Thomas Durrance (Isaac) of Fort Meade, Fla.; brothers, Loy W. Thomas and Dale Thomas (Ruth), both of Zelienople; sisters, Lavada George (Paul) of Zelienople and Virginia Barnhart (Dale) of Butler; and three grandchildren.

<B>THOMAS</B> — Visitation for Leroy Herbert Thomas, who died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the <B>Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home </B>in Avon Park, Fla. A funeral Mass will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Nick McLoughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
