Paul Kletzli of Butler, a freshman mechanical engineering major at York College of Pennsylvania, received an academic scholarship from the College.Kletzli, a graduate of Knoch Senior High School, received the Dean’s Academic Scholarship, awarded to freshmen who graduated in the upper two-fifths of their high school class and have a combined SAT math and critical reading score of 1100 to 1240.He is the son of Maria and Michael Kletzli of Butler.———Butler Catholic School hosted the Challenge of Champions academic problem-solving competition Nov. 13 with more than 230 participants.Sponsored by Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, the event includes students in grades four to eight from eleven nonpublic schools in Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.Math, language arts, science, English and physical education events were completed by teams formed by combining students from the different schools.Peggy King and Kim Laskowitz coordinated the project and Kathy Hinterlang and Elizabeth Spohn served as coaches for the school’s 53 participants.
