Harry L. Say

Harry L. Say, 84, of Ridge Road, Sewickley, Ohio Township, Allegheny County, died Sept. 27 at his home following a brief illness.

Mr. Say was born in Franklin on Aug. 9, 1926. He was the son of Myrl M. and Vera V. McCandless Say.

He attended Emlenton schools.

Mr. Say was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the Philippines.

He had attended the Scrubgrass Stone Church.

Mr. Say enjoyed spending time with his family on weekends at the family farm in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

He was employed for more than 32 years as a carpenter for the Dravo Corp. in Pittsburgh. He retired on Nov. 1, 1983.

He is survived by his wife, Martha E. Rorison Say, who he married in Eau Claire on April 2, 1960. Also surviving are two sisters, M. Jean Oliphant of Kennerdell and Doris A. Latshaw of Emlenton; several nieces and nephews, James Oliphant and his wife, Barb, of Kennerdell, Jerry Oliphant and his wife, Lori, of Kennerdell, Karen Lappin and her husband, Gary, of Detroit, Dawn Latshaw and her husband, Geoff, of deLima, Virginia, and James Latshaw and his wife, Becky, of Ohio; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and a sister-in-law, Margaret F. Rorison.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Raymond Oliphant and James Latshaw.

<B>SAY</B> — A memorial service for Harry L. Say, who died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Scrubgrass Stone Church, Stone Church Road, Emlenton, with his nephew, the Rev. James Oliphant, officiating.
