Willard John Wilson, 90, of Saxonburg, formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at the Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.

He was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Fairchance, Pa., the son of Tracy and Clara (Stair) Wilson, who are deceased.

Willard was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church. He was a self- employed contractor, and he enjoyed wood crafting.

Willard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II.

Surviving are five daughters, Melanie (Thomas) Piper and Milly (Robert "Ike") Bortmas, both of Marionville, Pa.; Alma Jean "AJ" (Charlie) Christie, Loretta Wilson, and Betty (George) Savannah, all of Butler; two sons, Robert Wilson of Butler and John (Debbie) Wilson of Lyndora; 20 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Heasley of Florida; and two brothers, Glenn (Elsie) Wilson of Beaver Falls and Dale Wilson of Grove City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaretta G. (Ramage) Wilson, who died April 7, 2001, two grandchildren, three sisters, and a brother.

<B>Wilson</B> — Friends of Willard John Wilson, who died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, will be received at <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Matt Kail, his pastor, officiating. Military honors will be at the cemetery.Interment will be in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
