9:41 a.m. Wednesday A tractor-trailer driven by Randall Whitten, 44, of Alabama rear-ended a car at Route 8 South and Vogel Road. Joy May, 77, of Butler was driving the car. No one was injured.
12:13 p.m. Thursday A Lawrence County woman was injured when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and crashed, rolling over twice in the median on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Kathryn H. Hall, 21, of New Castle was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Hall, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for a lane violation.8:20 a.m. Thursday A pickup truck driven by Thomas F. Wilson, 21, of Pittsburgh and an SUV driven by Jennifer L. Bayer, 34, of Cabot collided on Clearfield Road less than a mile south of Spiker Road in Clearfield Township. Wilson was cited for failure to yield the right of way.Thursday Police are seeking the unknown driver of a blue, 2003 Ford Expedition found wrecked in the median on I-79 near mile marker 93.2 in Lancaster Township. The driver left the scene before police arrived. Authorities do not know when the crash happened. The vehicle had heavy damage on the front and driver's side.8:50 p.m. Wednesday Lindsay Confer, 22, of Erie was arrested on an out-of-state warrant after she was stopped for speeding on I-79 in Cranberry Township. Suspected drug paraphernalia was found in a diaper bag she had. Confer was placed in the Butler County Prison for the warrant from Trumbull County, Ohio.Tuesday About 60 feet of copper pipe worth $100 was stolen in a burglary Monday or Tuesday at a home in the 100 block of Euclid Road in Clay Township.10:49 p.m. Nov. 3 A car driven by Mercedes M. Burgh, 24, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Burgh was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Thomas Scibetta Jr., 58, of Topeka, Kan., was driving the rig.
11:55 a.m. Thursday A car driven by Richard F. Darsie Jr., 95, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Patrick D. Farrell, 56, of Jackson Center collided at Route 256 and Plain Grove-North Liberty Road in Liberty Township. Darsie was cited for making an improper left turn.6:25 p.m. Tuesday Pickups driven by Todd B. Feevey, 41, of Slippery Rock and Jason A. Kneidinger, 26, of Grove City collided at Routes 208 and 258 in Springfield Township. Feevey was cited for making an improper left turn.
Thursday An undisclosed amount of money was stolen in a burglary at Slippery Rock Materials in Plain Grove Township. The money was removed from the business scale office between midnight and 6 a.m.
