11:13 a.m. Thursday — Two people were hurt when cars driven by Chad Weinschenk, 33, of East Butler and Corey Wagner, 36, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Pittsburgh Road. The crash temporarily closed the northbound lanes on Route 8. Wagner and Timothy P. Shane, 38, no known address, a passenger in Weinschenk's car, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Weinschenk was cited for a running a red light.9:15 a.m. — Wednesday — Robert Ralston, 64, of Renfrew suffered only minor injuries when a van hit him at Brady and Washington streets. A witness told police that Ralston walked in front of the vehicle and was struck. Greg Kalka, 53, of Butler was driving the van. No charges were filed.

9:09 p.m. Saturday — A Butler man and woman are accused of using a stolen credit card at a Butler gas station. John P. Tomlin Jr., 24, allegedly stole a purse, which had the credit card in it, that was in a shopping cart at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Soon after the theft, the owner's card was used.Store security employees provided police with clues that led to the arrests of Tomlin and 19-year-old Erika Seezox.Tomlin was arraigned on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, identity theft, access device fraud and conspiracy. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail, following arraignment.Seezox, who is charged with receiving stolen property, identity theft, access device fraud and conspiracy, is free on her own recognizance.

Thursday — Keith W. Cooper, 20, of Harrisville was charged in connection with the Oct. 21 break-in of a home on West Main Street. Several firearms and money were stolen. Campbell is charged with burglary, trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.Saxonburg Police10:22 p.m. Oct. 28 — Da Pol, 34, of Cabot was arrested for driving under the influence on North Rebecca Street.

8:11 p.m. Oct. 28 — Christopher P. Maynard, 36, of Cochranton, Crawford County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in a logging truck on Route 8 near Boyers Road in Mercer Township.
