CRANBERRY TWP — Two new recreational businesses for boys and girls are slated to open off Commerce Park Drive behind the township's municipal center.

The two business are expected to be approved by the township supervisors on Nov. 4.

They were discussed by the supervisors Thursday night.

Pittsburgh Superstars, a competitive cheerleading organization, will soon open its 7,000-square foot facility at 405 Commerce Park Drive.

Owner Amy Nicwarner said the group will teach children tumbling, jumping and cheering skills and will form competitive teams that will travel to competitions. She has nine competitive teams that travel to competitions. The sessions are held after school and on weekends.

A second facility, Baseball-19 School, will open in its 4,871-square-foot space next to the Pittsburgh Superstars at 407 Commerce Park Drive.

Owner David Kirilloff said the school is geared for children ages 9 through 14 to help teach baseball skills. The facility will include indoor batting cages and focus on pitching, batting and fielding training.
