12:01 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Patti Hronek, 60, of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while going west on West Brady Street near North Church Street, breaking off the driver's side mirror. The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee.

12:40 p.m. Tuesday — Jason T. Ewing, 24, of Butler was charged with retail theft and disorderly conduct after he allegedly took merchandise from the Trader Horn in Greater Butler Mart, then ran from employees.11 a.m. Tuesday — Crystal Minda, 26, of Chicora was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal about $240 worth of merchandise from the Trader Horn in Greater Butler Mart.
