3:15 a.m. Monday — Richard McManus, 42, of Butler was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and criminal mischief after police responded to a domestic call at a Linhurst Avenue residence. Police said they found the interior of the house was torn up with numerous items broken, and McManus was hiding in the basement.2:42 p.m. Saturday — Sheena Rogerson, 27, of Elizabeth in Allegheny County was charged with retail theft after allegedly trying to steal $160 worth of merchandise from the Kohl's store at Butler Crossing.2:16 p.m. Saturday — Phillip Dailey, 29, of Butler was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant from the Butler County sheriff's office for missing a court hearing. Police identified Dailey while investigating a parking violation.10:31 a.m. Saturday — George Whitmire, 53, of Cabot was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police observed him sitting in his vehicle at Butler Crossing.3:34 p.m. Tuesday — Steven Beistel, 49, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for several vehicle violations after he was stopped on Hansen Avenue for an expired registration.5:41 a.m. Oct. 19 — A car driven by Ralph Texter, 57, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Garrett Drake, 30, of Grove City collided at the intersection of Routes 8 and 138 in Clay Township. The impact caused Texter's car to roll over an embankment, coming to rest on its tires. He was not injured. Texter was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and careless driving. The Unionville and West Sunbury volunteer fire departments, and Butler Ambulance assisted state police at the scene.2:36 a.m. Oct. 10 — Angela Wilson, 21, of Hilliards was charged with driving under the influence and cited for multiple traffic violations following a traffic stop on Branchton Road.Oct. 1 — Several unspecified items were stolen from the residence of Benny Davison at 752 Old Route 422 West between 6 and 8:41 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
12:49 a.m. Friday — Benjamin Pegher, 23, of Evans City was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Wednesday — The front and side doors of Caleb Rabold's residence at 203 Weeks Road in Slippery Rock were damaged during an attempted break-in between 6 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Damages are estimated at $600. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.
Oct. 17 — The rear cargo door of a vehicle owned by the Solarly Corporation of Sapulpa, Ohio, was pried open while the vehicle was parked on a secluded driveway at 422 Irishtown Road in Penn Township between 7 p.m. Oct. 16 and 11 a.m. Oct. 17.Oct. 1 — An unknown person committed access device fraud by making an unauthorized Internet transaction using credit card information on William Bett of Pine Township. The investigation revealed the theft originated in Russia.
