12:17 a.m. Oct. 9 — Todd S. Wilson, 24, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, unauthorized transfer or use of registration, driving without registration and vehicle without valid inspection following a traffic stop along North Monroe Street. Wilson allegedly had the license plate from a different vehicle on his car.
11:25 a.m. Thursday — A van driven by Duane Dufford, 46, of Mars and a car driven by Charles Reamer, 74, of Butler collided at the intersection of Evans City and Eberhart roads. No one was injured.12:15 p.m. Wednesday — A 15-year-old Butler girl and a 14-year-old Lyndora girl each were charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following a fight at the Butler Intermediate High School.
8:35 p.m. Sept. 20 — A 14-year-old boy was charged with illegal use of noxious substances and dangerous burning after he allegedly started a fire in the basement of his residence at 431 Summit St. while recreationally inhaling gasoline fumes.Butler County Sheriff3:40 p.m. Thursday — Scott L. Bailey, 38, no address given, was charged with flight to avoid apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly ran from police along West Brady Street as they tried to arrest him on a bench warrant. No injuries were reported.
8 a.m. Friday — Someone stole several items, including GPS units, a camera, money and several iPods from unlocked vehicles parked along Lake Shore Drive and Grosvenor Avenue in Center Township. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.6:30 a.m. Friday — Someone broke into Fox's Pizza Den in Slippery Rock between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday, stealing an unknown amount of cash. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.6:15 p.m. Oct. 4 — Louise Ann Leonard, 47, of Butler was charged with criminal trespass and retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal about $110 worth of merchandise from Boscov's at the Clearview Mall, Center Township.1:45 p.m. Oct 3 — A vehicle driven by Michael T. Botjer, 23, of Lake Ariel, Pa. crashed into the concrete base of a railroad crossing arm along Harmony Road in Mercer Township. Botjer was not injured and was cited for careless driving.
State Police, Mercer3:59 a.m. Thursday — Someone broke into the Emmanuel Christian Church in Sandy Lake Township and stole a video camera.
September 2008 — Eric J. Martin, 35, of Templeton was charged with theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received after he allegedly failed to make repairs to a home at 304 Stone Ave., Pine Township, after being paid $10,450 to do so by the homeowner between May 2004 and September 2008.
