Dorothy Aiken

Dorothy Aiken of Prospect celebrated her 90th birthday with a surprise party thrown Aug. 21 by her children at her home.

The former Dorothy Rider was born Sept. 30, 1920, in Butler.

She married Leroy "Bud" Aiken in June 1948 at Springdale Lutheran Church. He is deceased.

She has three children, Doris Osborne of Prospect, Arleen Sekeley of Irwin and David Aiken of Warrenton, Va. Another child, Mary Ann Aiken, is deceased.

She also has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is a homemaker.

Mrs. Aiken enjoys knitting and crocheting hats and mittens for Kaps for Kids.

She is a member of Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church.
