Knauer 50th anniversary
Robert and Norma Knauer of Renfrew will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a party at 6 p.m. Friday at the Meridian Fire Hall given by their children for family and friends.
Knauer married the former Norma Frederick on Oct. 8, 1960, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
They have three children, Robin Whann of Butler, Jeffrey Knauer of Butler and David Knauer of Renfrew.
They also have four grandchildren.
Knauer retired from Butler Floor and Carpet after 37 years of service. He enjoys working around their new home.
Mrs. Knauer has been in the travel industry for 35 years, first at Dunn's Travel. In 1990, she opened with partners her own agency, the Travel Centre of Butler. She enjoys reading and bowling.The Knauers love to travel and cruise and have traveled all over the United States and Europe.
