Monday — Police charged Travis Pratt, 22, of Grove City in connection with the theft of three guns taken from a Madison Avenue home in December. Pratt is charged with three counts each of receiving stolen property and illegal possession of a firearm.7:30 p.m. Sunday — Emily E. Robinson, 23, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on West Main Street. Police said Robinson also was cited for a lane violation.12:40 a.m. Sunday — Dorothy A. Anderson, 52, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Stewart Avenue. Police said Anderson also was cited for driving with her high beams on and not using turn signals.12:40 a.m. Saturday — David Lee Dombrowski, 19, of Moon Township, Allegheny County, faces drug-related charges after he was caught after hours at Hunter Farm Park. Police said he is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Saturday — An unknown thief stole about $20 from an unlocked Jeep Wrangler behind the area of 218 College Ave. The theft happened during the evening.12:17 p.m. Sept. 20 — Edward Higginbotham, 19, of Centerville, Md., was hurt when the bicycle he was riding collided with a vehicle on West Main Street near Memorial Park Drive. Higginbotham suffered a minor leg injury that did not require immediate medical treatment.Lee Askham, 57, of Grove City was driving the vehicle. Police noted no charges were filed in the accident.
4:55 p.m. Tuesday — Jason J. Switzer, 36, of Hilliards was hurt when a sport utility vehicle he was driving struck a deer at Route 68 and Shannon Road in Connoquenessing. Switzer, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.2:20 a.m. Sunday — Nicholas A. Restivo, 20, of Pittsburgh allegedly tried to break into his former girlfriend's apartment on Vineyard Circle in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Restivo ripped the bedroom window screen from the window frame in a failed attempt to get inside and threatened the victim.The woman managed to get out of her home unharmed. Police were called and found the suspect there. A portable breath test showed he was intoxicated, according to court documents.Restivo is charged with attempted burglary, criminal mischief, trespass, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and underage drinking.
6 p.m. Sunday — A 16-year-old boy escaped from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township. The boy was last seen wearing a maroon hooded sweat shirt and gray sweat pants.
