3:08 p.m. Thursday — A Kmart employee is accused of stealing a customer's wallet that was left unattended in a shopping cart.William B. Ridenour, 43, of Butler was caught on surveillance video taking the Franklin Township woman's wallet and walking away, according to a police report.Ridenour allegedly admitted he took the wallet after confronted by a store security officer and police. He told authorities he took $67 out of the wallet, which he then threw into a trash can, police said.The suspect handed over the money that was then returned to the victim. Police said Ridenour faces a charge of theft of lost or mislaid property.9:15 p.m. Wednesday — Two people were hurt when a pickup truck driven by Daniel Jordan, 26, of Chicora and a car driven by Shelby Simon, 19, of Renfrew collided at West New Castle Street and Hansen Avenue. Simon and her passenger, Brittany Thornton, 20, of Butler, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.A police report said Jordan was cited for making an improper left turn.1:14 p.m. Wednesday — Robert Lee Jenkins, 53, of Butler was arrested after police investigating a minor traffic accident on State Street learned that Jenkins, one of the drivers, was wanted on a warrant1:26 p.m. Saturday — A call for a fight at an East Walnut Street home ended with police arresting Jouline L. Walker, 20, and Andrew D. Hiles, 26, no known address.Police said the suspects were among several people at the house, and both appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.While at the home, where Walker lives, officers found suspected stolen property in the back yard. Police said they also found Walker and Hiles with prescription medication not prescribed to them.Both suspects were arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and public drunkenness, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail each.

5:51 p.m. Wednesday — Nicholas Defelice, 19, was cited for a burning ordinance violation at his Mercer Road home.12:29 a.m. Tuesday — John Shearer, 22, of Butler was caught with a switchblade-style knife with brass knuckles after police got a call for a suspicious person behind Bon Aire Bowling lanes. Police said Shearer is charged with possession of a prohibited offensive weapon.

Wednesday — Melissa Rhoades of Grove City reported the Pennsylvania license plate XDE0614 was stolen from her boat trailer sometime in August.

10:20 a.m. Thursday—Melissa Downs-Ulisky, 20, of Karns City was hurt when the car she was driving rear-ended a van on Route 68 just east of St. Joe Road in Oakland Township. Police said Downs-Ulisky, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Adam Stinnette, 28, of Langeloth, Washington County was driving the van.2:15 a.m. Sunday — Phillip Basel, 27, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on East Jefferson Street in Butler.

Monday — An unknown thief stole a wallet, iPod, duffel bag containing clothing and a backpack containing books after breaking the window of a Cabot man's car in the Prime Outlets parking lot in Springfield Township. The theft happened between 4 and 9:10 p.m.
