Bupp 50th anniversary
Charles and Dorothy Bupp of Harmony celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and reception at the Atrium in Prospect.
Bupp married the former Dorothy Rider on Aug. 26, 1960, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in New Sewickley Township.
They have three children, Dora (Bupp) Kniess of Lancaster Township, Michael Bupp of Pittsburgh and David Bupp of Lancaster Township.
They also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Bupp is a retired dairy farmer.
He is a member of his church council and the Lancaster Township Planning Board. He is an officer in the Unionville Grange and past president and member of the Butler County Farm Bureau serving on the Legislative Committee.
Mrs. Bupp is a retired Butler County Commissioner.
She is an officer in the Unionville Grange and a member of the Lancaster Township Historical Committee and Butler County Farm Bureau. She also serves the Southwest Butler County Food Cupboard.She is past chairman of the women's committee of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, representing Butler, Mercer, Beaver and Lawrence counties and past president of the Pennsylvania Jury Commissioner's Association.She is a homemaker. Mrs. Bupp is recipient of the 1995 Bull Shippers Award.The Bupps belong to St. John's Stone Church in Lancaster Township.
