9 p.m. Wednesday — Oscar Cosme Jr. was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under a suspended license following a traffic stop along West Penn Street.7:30 p.m. Wednesday — A group of two or three men claiming to be masons from Russo's Concrete in Penn Township burglarized a home in the 700 block of North Main Street.One of the men, calling himself "Mike," told the home's owners that the crew had extra materials from a previous job and would fix their driveway at a discounted rate. While the couple was distracted, one of the men entered the home and stole men's jewelry from a bedroom.The men were driving a pickup truck with a cab on it, and "Mike" was described as about five-feet-eight-inches tall and weighing about 210 pounds. Anyone with information should call police at 724-287-7743.Butler Township4 p.m. Thursday — Someone stole two bicycles from along Whitestown Road between Wednesday and Thursday. One is a yellow and black Mongoose Rebel, and the other is an orange Next. Anyone with information should call police at 724-285-9600.

1:35 a.m. Friday — Someone driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck along Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township lost control of the vehicle, striking and shearing off a utility pole before crashing into a parked car, a large tree and a landscaping rock. The driver of the truck then fled the scene on foot.2:30 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Dale N. Crowe, 18, of Butler and an SUV driven by Nancy J. Clark, 61, of New Castle collided at the intersection of Country Club and Unionville roads in Franklin Township. No one was injured, and Crowe was cited for a traffic violation.Aug. 25 — A 17 year-old boy was charged with theft after he allegedly stole a Suzuki motorcycle belonging to another 17-year-old boy along Mahood Road in Clay Township.

10:30 a.m. Friday — Someone removed the license plate from a vehicle belonging to Kathy L. Kramer of Slippery Rock while the vehicle was parked along Moores Corner Road in Plain Grove Township, Armstrong County.

10:15 a.m. Thursday — Elizabeth Graves, 24, of East Brady was charged with simple assault after she allegedly threatened a 42-year-old East Brady man with a knife during an argument at Bradys Bend Trailer Court in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County.11 p.m. Aug. 22 — Someone broke into a storage unit at West Kittanning Storage Unit in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, between 11 p.m. June 1 and 11 p.m. Aug. 22, stealing multiple items belonging to Marvin Otterman of Butler.
