Student Directory

The following local students who graduated from Gannon University will begin pharmacy, medical or professional school in the fall:

Brandon Dunmyre of Sarver will attend Chatham University to pursue a master's in biology. A graduate of Freeport High School, he is the son of Bruce and Kathleen Dunmyre.•

Maire Prybyl of Mars will attend School College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University. A graduate of North Catholic High School, she is the daughter of J. Mark Prybyl and Eileen Minnock.•

Brittany Pryor of Slippery Rock will attend Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. A graduate of Slippery Rock High School, she is the daughter of Fred and Jackie Pryor.•

Kelley Rouse of Grove City will attend Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. A graduate of Grove City High School, she is the daughter of Jeffrey and Patricia Rouse.——

Rachel Saeler of Butler was awarded the $1,000 Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship by the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania.She is a junior nursing student at Waynesburg University. She was selected for the award as a result of her commitment to community service.——

Sara Rae Saeler of Butler was accepted to Clarion University, where she will major in speech pathology. A 2010 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Saeler of Butler.——

Tyler Protivnak of Butler was awarded a St. Joseph High School Academic Scholarship. He will enter ninth grade at St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights.He graduated from Butler Catholic School.Protivnak is an altar server at St. Paul Parish, a member of the soccer, basketball and robotics teams at Butler Catholic and the Butler Township Baseball Pony League, co-president of student council, and participated in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science and the Butler Catholic play.He received the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, the Butler Catholic Pastoral Award, American Legion Certificate of School Award and the Franciscan Peace Award.He was recognized as a Good Citizen by state Sen. Mary Jo White, R-21st, and an Outstanding Catholic Student by the Pittsburgh Catholic.He is the son of Larry and Marlene Protivnak of Butler.
