Stephenson 50th anniversary
Tom and Doris Stephenson of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a recent family gathering. They also spent two weeks visiting family in Pennsylvania and Virginia and exploring the Smoky Mountains.
Stephenson married the former Doris Daugherty on July 9, 1960, at St. Paul Church in Butler.
They have four children, Tom Stephenson Jr. of Butler, Charlene Fleming of Butler, Chuck Stephenson of Chicora and Eric Stephenson of East Butler.
They also have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Stephenson is retired from Armco Steel. He enjoys gardening, working around his home, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mrs. Stephenson is retired from Sugar Creek Rest Nursing Home. She is a member of the Hiland Golf Course Women's League and two bowling leagues at Bruin Bowling Lanes. She also spends time watching her youngest grandchildren.The Stephensons belong to St. Joseph Church in North Oakland.
