12:10 p.m. Monday — Jennifer Warner, 42, of Rouseville, Venango County, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting $826 worth of items at the Target store in Butler Commons. Police said Warner was spotted pushing a shopping cart full of merchandise out of the store.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Warner on a charge of retail theft, and remanded the suspect to Butler County Prison on $2,000 bail.Monday — A township resident reported that he was the target of a lottery scam. The man said he got a call saying he had won $1 million in the lottery. He was told he needed to wire $450 in processing and handling fees to claim the bogus prize. He did not send any money.3:30 p.m. Saturday — Floyd Ohl, 64, of Butler landed himself in trouble with the law after he allegedly threatened the staff at Butler Memorial HospitalPolice said Ohl called the hospital to check if an individual was there. But, when an employee would not answer his question, a police report said, he "made a statement about bringing a gun to the hospital to get an answer."Ohl is charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.

2:32 a.m. today — Eric Wiley, 28, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 north of Route 422 in Summit Township.2 a.m. Saturday — James Stalker, 36, of Eau Claire was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a one-car crash on Route 58, just west of Gibson Road in Venango Township.3:15 a.m. Friday — Aaron R. Cumberland, 23, of Butler suffered minor injuries when the pickup truck he was driving struck a fence and utility pole along Old East Butler Road in Oakland Township.

8:50 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Thomas F. Revolt, 73, of Linesville, Crawford County, crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Police said Revolt, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for a lane violation.3:17 a.m. Tuesday — Carissa Pless, 18, no address given, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.Tuesday — Police filed felony assault and other charges against Gary E. Consla, 63, of Cochranton stemming from a July 25 high-speed chase with police that spanned two counties.Police said the chase began in Pine Township, continued into Venango County and ended on Route 173 in Worth Township, Mercer County.Consla, who is in the Crawford County Jail on unrelated charges, is charged in the chase with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving and driving without a license.Monday — An unknown burglar overnight stole several remote-control vehicles after breaking into a garage at Routes 208 and 173 in Pine Township.

11 a.m. Aug. 10 — Christine Irene Taylor, 37, of New Castle allegedly broke into Travis Betker's home on Boyd Avenue in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Taylor is charged with burglary and trespass.
