Jerry and Doris Wise

Jerry and Doris Wise of Cabot celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Wise married the former Doris Eileen Bickner on Aug. 5, 1950, at Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church in Sarver.

They have two children, Jason Wise of Wilton Manor, Fla., and Mark Wise of Tarentum.

Wise retired in 1974 after 28 years of service as a Commander in the United States Navy. He is a naval aviator (fighter pilot) and veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Mrs. Wise is a registered nurse who practiced in Pennsylvania, California, Florida and Texas. She graduated in 1949 from Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing.

The Wises belong to Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver.
