Friday — Police charged Ryan Wilson, 19, of Butler with the July 30 break-in of a neighbor's West Diamond Street home.Wilson, according to charging documents, confessed to breaking into Sandra Enderle's home and stealing a DVD player, Xbox 360 video game system and $400.The suspect is charged with burglary and theft.

Saturday — Six people were arrested for driving under the influence during weekend roving DUI patrols.Officers stopped 101 vehicles in all, and issued 58 traffic tickets and 71 warnings. Additionally, officers made five misdemeanor drug arrests and issued nine summary criminal citations.

2:15 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Kemp T. Gillespie III, 35, of Cabot struck a utility pole along Route 228 in Clinton Township. Police said Gillespie was cited for a lane violation.Monday — An unknown would-be burglar failed to break-into Freehling Lumber in Winfield Township. The attempted burglary happened between Saturday and Monday.Aug. 2 — Police charged Alexander D. Willenkin, 41, of Portersville with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop about 12:30 a.m. July 10 at Route 422 and Dick Road in Franklin Township. In addition to driving under the influence, police cited Willenkin with failure to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

9:02 p.m. Monday — Two Templeton men were hurt in a one-vehicle crash in Kittanning Township.Police said the accident happened when Craig R. Sanburg, 21, lost control of his sport utility vehicle on Lauster Road and hit a tree.Sanburg and passenger Matthew D. Vanhorn, 22, were taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning with minor to moderate injuries.

4:20 p.m. Monday — A car driven by James L. Kildoo, 35, of New Castle struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle on Route 422 near Stone Drive in Slippery Rock Township. Shellie Cahall, 43, of Portersville, who was driving the SUV, was taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle with minor injuries.Kildoo, police said, was cited for careless driving.
