6:17 a.m. Monday — Rodney W. Kriess, 38, of Oakland Township was arrested for allegedly attacking his live-in girlfriend, Korie J. Thompson, 37, on West Penn Street.Thompson told police she was walking near Emily Brittain Elementary School when Kriess drove past her and stopped his car. He got out and chased her, grabbing her and dragging her back to his car.A neighbor called authorities. Police found the couple at the side of the school with Kriess standing over the woman, shouting at her.Kriess is charged with simple assault and driving with a suspended license.Monday—A Lyndora woman reported that while at work at Butler Memorial Hospital an unknown vehicle struck her car while it was parked on East Brady Street. Her car had damage on its entire passenger side. The hit-and-run crash happened between 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.Sunday — Tyler J. Karch, 27, of Butler is accused of breaking into a pair of vehicles in the city. Police were looking for the suspect, who was wanted on three warrants, when they spotted him on the porch at his College Street home.A search turned up a global positioning system unit in his pants pocket. Officers went through a duffel bag on the porch and found a Nintendo DS video game system.An hour or so earlier a resident of Oak Street reported her sport utility vehicle was broken into and a Nintendo DS stolen.Police said Karch later admitted he broke into two vehicles, stealing the Nintendo from one and the GPS from the other. Police did not immediately identify the GPS owner."(Karch) also stated he was stealing the items to sell them to get money for drugs so he could be admitted into rehab," the police report said. "Tyler stated he could not be admitted into rehab unless he tested for drugs."District Judge Pete Shaffer o Monday arraigned him on two counts each of theft from a vehicle and receiving stolen property as well as possessing instruments of crimes.Additionally, he was arraigned on charges in the warrants. In those three cases last month, Karch is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, possessing drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. He is in the Butler County Prison on $12,000 bail.8:57 p.m. Friday — A Sarver couple was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at the end of the South Main Street bridge.Jeffrey Neubert, 59, one of the drivers, and Connie Neubert, 59, a passenger, suffered unknown injuries when their sport utility vehicle was hit by a car. The SUV rolled over following the collision. Jeffrey Neubert was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.Police cited the other driver, Amanda Colton, 20, of Gibsonia, for running a red light.4:47 p.m. Wednesday — A minivan driven by Carrisa Bowman, 18, of West Sunbury and a pickup truck driven by Kellie Sub, 18, of Butler collided at West Jefferson and Broad streets.

Aug. 2 — Police reported that Virginia McCommon, 64, of Renfrew was cited for hit-and-run stemming from an Aug. 2 accident in the Greater Butler Mart parking lot on Route 8 South.

9:15 p.m. Thursday — Mark W. Elder, 50, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car backed into a vehicle at the Dairy Queen parking lot on Route 8 in Penn Township.

Monday — A shoplifter stole two jackets and a jersey, worth a combined $235, from the Sports Obsession store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. The unknown suspect is a black female.

3:05 a.m. July 5 — Sebastian S. Sweet, 20, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Young Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
