Phyllis and Ralph Brown

Ralph and Phyllis Brown of Butler, formerly of Bruin, celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Chicora Fire Hall.

Brown married the former Phyllis Switzer on Aug. 11, 1950, at Martinsburg Presbyterian Church in Bruin.

They have four children, Gloria Raimond of Pompano Beach, Fla., Rhonda Schwartz of Annandale, Va., Dale Brown of Petrolia and Susan Zediker of Chicora. Another child, Robert Brown, is deceased.

They also have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Brown retired after 43 years at Penreco in Karns City. He served as a flight engineer on B-29s in the Air Force.Mrs. Brown is a homemaker.The Browns enjoy going to Country Western dances and card parties.They belong to St. Johns Reformed Church in Meridian.
