Ernest Kemper Jr.

Ernest Kemper Jr. of Butler will celebrate his 90th birthday with a family reception and open house at 2 p.m. Saturday at 235 Creek Drive, Slippery Rock.

Kemper was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Butler.

He married his wife Jane Kemper on Feb. 7, 1942. She is deceased.

He has six children, Daniel, William, Ernest III, Joseph, Margaret and Mary.

He also has 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Kemper is the former owner of Kemper Parts and Machine on North Street.

He also served for three years during World War II.

Kemper belongs to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
