6:15 p.m. Monday — Three unknown thieves stole a pair of boys bicycles and nearly snatched a third bike at Route 58 and Creek Bottom Road in Marion Township.The thieves — a white male believed to be in his late teens to early 20s and two white girls about 14 or 15 years old — fled east on Route 58 in a red, full-sized pickup truck.The truck, possibly a late-1980s or early-90s model, has a red and silver tailgate.The male suspect is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a thin build and short, dark hair. He was wearing torn work jeans. One of the girls has strawberry blonde hair and wore a purple shirt; the other has blonde hair and wore a red softball shirt with the number 22 in black. Both girls were wearing shorts.10:35 a.m. Monday — Kathleen S. Westerman, 54, of Butler suffered minor injuries when a deer ran into the side of the motorcycle she was driving on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. Westerman and the cycle slid down the road for about 60 feet.Westerman, who was wearing a helmet, as taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after the crash.5:49 a.m. Monday — Victor J. Santoyo Jr., 18, of Boyers was hurt when his car struck a guardrail and rolled over on Route 38 in Summit Township. Santoyo, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for careless driving.2:12 a.m. Sunday — Jeffrey Birckbichler, 28, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 68 and Delwood Road in Butler Township.Sunday — Someone Saturday or Sunday fired a BB gun at the window of a car on North Main Street Extension in Center Township.12:02 a.m. Saturday —Sharon J. Quigley, no age given, of Valencia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on South Benbrook Road about 2 miles south of Route 8 in Center Township.Saturday — A mailbox between 10 and 11:30 p.m. was vandalized in the 1500 block of Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township.6 p.m. Friday — An unidentified vehicle struck a car parked in a driveway on Watters Station Road just west of Cashdollar Road in Forward Township, and did not stop. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
10:15 p.m. Sunday — Rick Heathcot, 47, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Madison Shop Road in Madison Township.
