12:13 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by William J. Morrison, 81, of Butler rear-ended another car on West Cunningham Street. Morrison suffered a minor injury. Stella Liras, 66, of Butler was driving the car that was struck from behind.4:05 a.m. Saturday — Three would-be thieves are suspected of trying to break into a car and pickup truck on West Diamond Street. A neighbor spotted the three males and yelled; the suspects ran off but not before apparently denting the side of the car.Saturday — A Butler woman reported that her son's green and brown Mongoose bicycle was stolen from in front of the Kmart store in Pullman Square. The bike is valued at $200.3:38 p.m. Friday — Marcus Register Jr., 39, of Butler is accused of shoplifting a part from a weed trimmer at the Kmart in Pullman Square. Police allege Register used a wrench he got from the store's hardware department to remove the cutting head from the weed trimmer.The suspect, who previously was barred from the store, is charged with retail theft and defiant trespass.7:20 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Debra Gaus, 52, of Fairview Township and a car driven by Allen Pitterman, 65, of Jefferson Township collided at East Wayne and South McKean streets. Gaus and Cynthia Pitterman, 66, of Jefferson Township, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries. Police said Gaus was cited for a red light violation.11:44 a.m. May 25 — Erica Fish, 25, of Creighton, Allegheny County, was charged with drugged driving after her car struck two other parked cars on East Brady Street. A police report said results of a blood test recently showed she had traces of two controlled substances in her system when she crashed. She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Saturday — Five flags and poles were stolen from the Saxon Golf Course on Ekastown Road in Clinton Township. The No. 5 green also was damaged.9:30 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Philip A. Neyman, 26, of Butler struck a deer on Route 68 near Buss Lane in Connoquenessing Township.6:30 p.m. Friday — An Allegheny County man is in trouble with the law after he allegedly became unruly over an umpire's call during a baseball game at Laura Doerr Park in Jefferson Township. Police charged Mark Virage, 45, of Natrona Heights with disorderly conduct in the case.1:15 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Nikki Williams, 38, of Pittsburgh struck a guardrail three times on Interstate 79 near Sawyer Road in Muddy Creek Township. Williams told police the crash happened when a tractor-trailer traveled into her lane and forced her into the guardrail.9:25 a.m. Thursday — A Butler man and woman are accused of breaking into a Penn Township home after attempting to break into a Connoquenessing Township home.Suspects Annika A. Ringler, 25, and Lazaro M. Tavira, 29, were arrested and placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail each. They are charged with burglary, trespass, conspiracy, attempted burglary and theft.Police said Ringler and Tavira first tried to break into a Kriess Road home in Connoquenessing. But the home's resident was there and scared off the suspects.Investigators later found the defendants at a Brownsdale Road home in Penn Township, where they had allegedly burglarized the house.11:51 p.m. June 5 — Steven E. Macklin, 44, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at East Jefferson and Third Street in Butler.1:50 a.m. June 1 — Robert Fair, 29, of Sligo, Clarion County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle on Route 38 in Washington Township. Police said Fair later was placed in the Butler County Prison on a parole violation.12:59 a.m. May 30 — Christopher Felock, 19, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of DUI on North Pike Road in Jefferson Township.8:55 p.m. Dan Swanson, 39, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 in Clearfield Township.

Friday — A car driven by Nicholas A. Pryor, 22, of Parker struck the rear of another vehicle at Route 66 and East End Road in Paint Township. Police said Pryor faces a ticket for an unspecified traffic violation. Ernest Miller, 77, of Shippenville was driving the other car.

1:17 a.m. Saturday — Janice L. Diehl, 39, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 58 in Findley Township.12:25 p.m. Friday — A burglar alarm may have scared off an unknown burglar who pried open a door to a Creek Road home in Springfield Township. The homeowners were out of town and police did not immediately know if any property was taken.Friday — Between $9,000 and $11,000 was stolen in a burglary at a North Liberty Road home in Liberty Township. The burglary happened between Tuesday and Friday.Friday — Someone between 8 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday. broke into a garage at a Creek Road home in Worth Township, and made off with an unknown amount of quarters.
