The Copes in 1950

Donald and Margaret "Peggy" Cope of Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Cope married the former Margaret Geltz on June 10, 1950, at Hiland Presbyterian Church in Perrysville.

They have two children, Nancy Cope of Butler and Anne Cope of Largo, Fla. Another child, James Cope, is deceased.

They also have three grandchildren.

Cope is a retired physician. He was a general practitioner for seven years, including two years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He retired from Butler Memorial Hospital after 27 years as a radiologist.Mrs. Cope is a homemaker.The Copes are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America.
