10:07 a.m. Sunday — Thomas R. Bergbigler Jr., 37, of Lyndora was arrested on a warrant and for violating a protection from abuse order after officers spotted him walking on Pillow Street and Eighth Avenue.A police report said when officers saw Bergbigler he was with 31-year-old Amy Scott of Butler, who last week was granted the protective order prohibiting the suspect from any contact with her.Bergbigler was arraigned on charges stemming from the PFA violation and warrant, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.3:08 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Jeffrey Pritts, 27, of Valencia and Pamela Schiebel, 48, of Butler collided at West Cunningham and South Church streets. Pritts was cited for making an improper turn.Saturday — A stereo faceplate valued at $50 was stolen overnight from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of Walker Avenue.Friday — A Motorola cell phone valued at $20 was stolen overnight from an unlocked vehicle parked on Bredin Street.

12:35 a.m. Sunday — William F. Claypool, no age given, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Chestnut Street in Butler.10:48 p.m. Saturday — David J. Pfennigwerth, 23, of Oakland Township was arrested on a warrant after police found him riding in a car at East Penn and Franklin streets in Butler.Police said Pfennigwerth, who allegedly lied about who he was, is also charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.6:11 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Daniel J. Smith, 22, of North East, Erie County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police said Smith was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.6:04 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Kristopher M. Smith, 23, of Portersville struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Police said Smith was cited for a lane violation.Saturday — Five people were arrested for DUI during a sobriety checkpoint on Route 8 in Middlesex Township. Nearly 70 vehicles were stopped during the joint operation by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force.6:30 p.m. Friday — Paul E. Broad, 64, of Brady Township was arrested after he allegedly pointed a shotgun at 43-year-old Barton B. Board during an altercation on Hallston Road in Brady Township. No injuries were reported.A police news release did not disclose the relationship between the accused and alleged victim, both who live on Hallston Road.Paul Broad was arraigned on charges of reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.4:30 p.m. Friday — Christopher J. Harris, 30, of Butler was cited for driving at an unsafe speed after he lost control of his car and struck a mailbox, traveled across a driveway and over a creek and hit a tree along Hal Road in Clay Township.

9:55 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Dana L. Wilds, 40, of Templeton struck the rear of a pickup truck on Route 268 in West Kittanning. Police said Wilds was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Samuel L. Kanish, 59, of Kittanning was driving the pickup.

1:50 a.m. Saturday — Anthony R. Corvino, 19, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 58 in Findley Township. Police said a passenger in the car, 19-year-old Tim W. Baker Jr. of Grove City faces a charge of underage drinking.3:42 p.m. Thursday — Six people, all from Grove City, suffered minor injuries when cars driven by Cassandra J. Carrara, 20, and Caleen N. Griffin, 19, collided at Route 208 and Oak Hill Drive Extension in Pine Township.Both drivers were treated at Grove City Medical Center. Also treated at the hospital were passengers in Carrara's car, 24-year-old Erin A. Carrara, a 3-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl; and a passenger in Griffin's car, 25-year-old David A. Bell.Police said Cassandra Carrara was cited for careless driving.Tuesday — An unknown vandal between May 31 and Tuesday damaged about 20 feet of white vinyl fence at a Centertown Road home in Wolf Creek Township. Damage was estimated at $200.2:20 p.m. May 29 — A Butler County couple was hurt when their pickup truck pulling a camper/trailer went off the road and rolled onto its roof on Interstate 80 in Shenango Township. Russell R. Yockey Sr., 71, and Joan E. Yockey, 65, were treated for minor injuries at UPMC Horizon in Farrell.
